Gladstone Branch Hosts Community Toy Drive

Getting a new toy is always a memorable experience, and it is especially unforgettable to hospitalized children. Cooped up in a hospital for long periods of time, these children don’t have the luxury of buying their own toys, yet they deserve proper entertainment and a pleasant childhood.

Keeping these children’s wants in mind, the Gladstone Branch hosted a toy drive in August of 2021. The branch members set up garage sales and lemonade stands and did summer jobs to raise money and buy brand-new toys. The Branch also created a virtual art and music exhibition video to introduce themselves and spread awareness to their cause. They donated the toys to the Children’s Hospital at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. It is great to know that their efforts will help make someone’s day more enjoyable!
