Greater Princeton AYLUS Continues Math Tutoring for Kids (72nd) in June 2021

In June 2021, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) teamed up and continued teaching kids in the subjects of math.

GPA member Annie Miao (6/13, 2 hrs): This week, Annie went over all the different transformations that can occur with absolute value equations. Her tutee learned about terminologies such as translations, reflection, and stretch/shrink and their rules during graphing.

GPA members Karen Yang (6/13, 2 hrs) and Kevin Song (6/13, 3 hrs): This week, we continued our Algebra content! First, we answered a warm up question. We then switched it up: students were now the teachers. Each student taught us a math unit we learned previously as a review. We reviewed topics of PEMDAS, finding slope, exponent rules, systems of equations, solving these equations and more. Then we played a fun math related game. We’ll be having our next class on July 11!

GPA member Yan Fischer (6/13, 2 hrs) also tutored his student Apoli Jiang.
