Global Service Month with Heart of Dinner– Participating in Servicing NYC “Heart” event
April is Global Service Month, an opportunity for members to team up and share success in our communities through giving and volunteering. Throughout the month, we celebrate our volunteers and understand how much the contributions matter. Manhasset AYLUS is excited to work with Heart of Dinner(HoD) for Global Service Month, a non-profit organization that was founded at the onset of COVID-19 to fight food insecurity and isolation experienced by Asian American Seniors. They serve over 1,500+ elders in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens by delivering meals, fresh produce, and bulk ingredients every week to the elders in need, which also helps local small businesses during their COVID-related recovery process. AYLUS Manhasset connect HoD provides different volunteer opportunities for our members to get involved. For Global Service Month, our members help write customized notes with illustrations to support their cause. The handwritten notes will be attached to their meal packages. This event provides the opportunity for participation and commitment to diversity and inclusion!
