Thanksgiving event hosted by AYLUS Manhasset to local hospital 11/24/20

The AYLUS Manhasset leadership team has been hosting science social sessions to give teammates the opportunity to spend time virtually while sharing in the fun events. On one recent event, Matthew Yang, the President, Gavin Cao, the Vice President, and Benjamin Yang, Head of the Junior Team led AYLUS Manhasset in a volunteer initiative in partnership with the LIJ ICU unit. All the teammates, assisted by their family members, helped write, draw and color “love cards” for the Doctors and Nurses, readying them for delivery to the frontline workers at North Well Long Island Jewish Medical Center and hospital ICU unit in New Hyde Park.

“We are honored to help bring smiles and good cheer to the doctors and nurses during this holiday season,” said Matthew. “We could all use a simile this year, and to be able to bring the smile to the LIJ ICU unit has been wonderful. I am proud of our AYLUS family coming together to give back in such a meaningful way as well as helping those on the front lines.”

This was the first AYLUS Manhasset’s first medical team supports event during the pandemic, and the team was excited and grateful when Matthew Yang, the President of the branch, brought them this great idea. The 40 plus cards were added to more than 10 pictures that Manhasset friends shared around the community by AYLUS Manhasset.

The flowers and cards were collected and safely delivered through social distancing to the hospital on November 24, 2020. “seeing the frontline doctors and nurses’ smile at the LIJ hospital filled me with pride for the great work done by our teammates.” said Benjamin.
