AYLUS San Fernando Valley Organizes Cleanup of Reseda Community Park on November 29

On November 29, 2020, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the AYLUS branch of San Fernando Valley spent an hour and a half from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM picking up trash and garbage to improve the quality of the local environment as a way to give thanks to the community. The participants – Benjamin Kozikaro-Sanchez, Jason Xie, and Marc Hua – spread out and helped cleanse the community park of Reseda Park. Maintaining safety, the branch embarked on a coordinated effort to sweep the recreational area. Our team planned and organized this event through several meetings over social media to perfect our opportunity.

All in all, the branch picked up three HUGE bags of trash, nearly 9 or 10 pounds of trash! We plan to exponentially increase and focus on more directed activities in the future. Great job everyone!

Participants:

Jason Xie (1.5 hours, set-up, cleanup, distributing, disposing)

Benjamin Kozikaro-Sanchez (1.5 hours, set-up, cleanup, distributing, disposing)

Marc Hua (1.5 hours, set-up, cleanup, distributing, disposing)

Again, great job everyone!!!
