On October 10th, members of the Williamsville branch of AYLUS participated in the Citizen Archivist program by helping to transcribe and tag documents for the National Archives and Records Administration. They transcribed and tagged many different documents from a variety of topics, including air force award cards, indexes to final payment vouchers, and civil action case files, in hopes of allowing the general public to more easily access and find these valuable documents. Williamsville AYLUS will continue to participate in the Citizen Archivist program each week.
