Sep 12, 2020, East Cobb Branch Census 2020 Text Banking IV

On September 12, 2020, six AYLUS volunteers participated in a 2020 Census text banking session with Center for Pan Asian Community Services (CPACS). The 2020 Census is important because the results will be used to direct federal funds to communities to support schools, roads, and other public services. The results will also be used to determine the number of seats each state has in Congress.

The volunteers sent hundreds of messages to remind people to take the 2020 Census and answered questions from the text recipients. Even though the session was conducted online, the volunteers enjoyed socializing with other volunteers and learning more about CPACS.
