On September 7, the Sugar Land Branch continued its garden maintenance at the Memorial Park Butterfly Garden. As usual, members pulled weeds to clear room for the flowering plants. As fall has started to arrive, all plants in the garden have begun to grow exponentially, weeds included. Members cleared a large pile of weeds and placed them on top of the remaining unpulled ones. This smothered the living weeds by depriving them of sunlight. Members also started an irrigation system.
