East Cobb Branch Partnered With Marietta Maker Station To Assemble Shield Mask VII

On June 26, 2020, the AYLUS East Cobb Branch continued their partnership with the local volunteer group The Maker Station at Marietta to assemble and package the much-needed face shields for the various public services in Cobb County.

Four members volunteered that day and were split into pairs to two different tasks. Stanley and Kevin assembled the face shields while Cynthia and Jay packaged them into bags. Instead of 3D printed frames, a headrest and a band were stapled to a piece of film to create a shield. At the packaging station, one person wiped each side of the shield, and the other person put ten shields each in a bag with instructions and a sticker.

After hours of work, the four members assembled around 200 face shields and packaged all of them.

Attendances: Cynthia Ruan (3 hours), Kevin Shen (3 hours), Stanley Lu (3 hours), Jay Pan (3 hours)
