On May 10th, the Sugar Land Branch continued maintaining the Memorial Park Butterfly Garden. By now, many earlier planted flowers have begun to blossom (see below), and due to former gardening work, the young trees planted months prior have also grown substantially. A plant identifying app was used this time to identify more types of weeds; thus, more of the ground was cleared for future plant growth. The present time period when flowers have started blooming shows that the initial intent of constructing a butterfly garden was fulfilled. The garden now contains several caterpillars and has attracted many more visitors since the start of the Sugar Land Branch’s volunteering.
