During the present quarantine, many music students have been unable to attend lessons, both at school and otherwise in person. Without consistent instruction, skills like those required to play violin can become dull over time, hindering improvement. To alleviate this issue, on May 1st, the Sugar Land Branch launched a project to tutor young violinists who are unable to take traditional lessons due to quarantine. Tutoring consists of weekly lessons over Zoom, and topics covered include a review of violin fundamentals as well as an introduction to music theory.
