AYLUS Hosts First Branch President Summit on April 18th, 2020

On April 18th, AYLUS hosted its first Branch President Summit in an effort to remain united as a national organization, and this desire has only been amplified by the current state of our world. At our first meeting, we had 24 branch presidents gather for 40 minutes on Zoom to discuss the current state of our branches and how to best move forward, both in general and during this pandemic. AYLUS plans to continue this initiative every month to build camaraderie and allow for more extensive projects later. Thank you to everyone who came today, and I look forward to seeing all your faces (and those of newcomers) again next month!

Topics Discussed:

  • How to volunteer while being quarantined
  • Goal of Summit
  • Use national tax-exempt status to facilitate donations
  • Announcements
  • Discussion
    • Branch election process
    • How to garner interest among current members
    • Finding people to be tutored (e.g. Nextdoor app)
