Cobb County Branch ‘Give a Hand’—YMCA Cookies with Santa on Dec. 8, 2019

East Cobb Branch Participates in Cookies with Santa on December 8, 2019

On December 8, 2019, members participated at the YMCA as Santa’s helpers.

During the event, volunteers assisted in setting up and supervising the many activities that brought enjoyment to kids. These activities included keeping kids safe while they jumped inside of a bouncy house, playing catch, and making sure that they were never bored. The volunteers also helped setting up, and putting away the chairs and tables that would be used by the parents of the kids.

Throughout the event, the kids that were present were never bored. They would always be hyper, and have an everlasting thirst for wanting to jump in the bouncy house. While the volunteers were thrilled to see that the kids were enjoying themselves, the volunteers made sure that safety was the number one priority. For example, we made sure that only 4 people at a time could go in the bouncy house, and that shoving, and any physical contact was not permitted. The volunteers also threw balls, and played catch with the kids, so that the kids that were waiting to go into the bouncy house were not bored. Overall, the experience was wonderful for both volunteers and kids.
