20190831 East Cobb Branch Youth Tutoring 2019-2020 VI – East Cobb Library

On Saturday, August 31st, 2019, the East Cobb Youth Tutoring held sixth tutoring session at East Cobb Library through the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS. For two hours, two members tutored a total of six kids on math, science, and reading. The age range for the kids being tutor was K-8th.

Each of the students had their own learning style, which made it challenging at first to connect with them over the subjects. These challenges helped the tutors extend their own experiences with tutoring students.  The atmosphere was not rushed and quite peaceful, which gave the tutors a comfortable amount of time to work with each individual at their own pace.

The ECYT program operates at East Cobb Library on Saturdays. The program offers a good place for young students to improve their knowledge and work with older mentors who are among the best scholars at the local schools in the county.

Attendance: David Qu (2 hours), Ethan Chen (2 hours)
