The Edison Branch of AYLUS _ Victoria He, Xin Chen and Anmei Deng (advisor) volunteered at the Veteran’s Memorial Home on April 24, 2019 on a beautiful spring afternoon. The veterans were celebrating one of the inhabitant’s birthdays, and song and food was involved. The seniors watched the performance, and some went up to dance, or simply just sway with the beat. Towards the end, ice cream was passed out, and afterwards, the Edison Branch went around and helped clean up plates and took the veterans back to wherever they had wanted to go. The beautiful spring scene outside, was reflected in the bright mood inside, and all in all, it was a wonderful experience.
