Sept 25-27 East Cobb Members Participated Fall Lunch Packing Program

On September 25th – September 27th, members from East Cobb Branch of AYLUS participated in the YMCA Lunch Outreach program that packs and dispatches lunches to children who don’t get school meals during the fall break week.

Our members went to Garden Terrace and Clifton Ridge in 3 days to provide lunches for the kids and adults. Before passing out the food for the kids and adults the students were allowed to draw pictures on the bags. Both members took the bus to get to their destinations. We packed the most 116 lunches as more kids from those two apartment mansions registered at county. The lunches were donated by local businesses and people, there was apples, milk, carrots, ham and cheese sandwiches, pretzels, ranch, other condiments and a granola bar. It took about one hour for us to pack all of the lunch bags, and then the driver sent us to 2 different locations.

Attendance: Jonathan Wang(4 hrs), Howard Hua(3 hrs)
