East Cobb Branch Held Youth Tutoring Program II

On Saturday, September 15th, 2018, the East Cobb Youth Tutoring held a second tutoring session at East Cobb Library through the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS. For two hours, three members tutored a total of six kids on math, science, and reading. The age range for the kids being tutor was K-8th.

Each of the students had their own learning style, which made it challenging at first to connect with them over the subjects. These challenges helped the tutors extend their own experiences with tutoring students.  The atmosphere was not rushed and quite peaceful, which gave the tutors a comfortable amount of time to work with each individual at their own pace.

The ECYT program operates at East Cobb Library on Saturdays. While still in its early stages, the program offers a good place for young students to improve their knowledge and work with older mentors who are among the best scholars at the local schools in the county.

Attendance: Diane Chen (1 hr), David Qu (1 hr), Grace Shen (2 hrs)
