We are Music For You, the Columbus branch of the Alliance of Youth Leaders. As of today we are comprised of eight kids who are in 8th and 9th grades. The members of this group are Alice Nie, Michelle Zong, Amy Xuan, Eileen Liang, Michelle Lin, Jason Guo, Aidan Li, and Tian (Mark) Wang. This group was created when we all met and found out that we had a common purpose of serving community. One of our goals is to bring joy to the elderly by playing music for them.
In our first appearance on July 30, 2016, Eileen, Aidan and Mark played the piano while Michelle and Amy played violin and Jason played the cello. The crowds were enthusiastic and we all enjoyed ourselves and were even congratulated by some of the elderly. Russell, a former piano player himself , said that he hasn’t heard good music in a long time until we came. We look forward to our next performance.
