On December 22nd, 2015, the San Diego Branch, with Treasurer and Secretary Kelly Zhong, President Stephen Yang, adult supervisors Ying Yang, Wendy Lin, and members Claire Jiang, Samantha Zhu, Aaron Huang, and Eric Li, packaged more than 2000 pounds of oranges at the San Diego Food Bank Warehouse. The objective of this event was to provide holiday meals for the local homeless.
The San Diego Branch hopes this season, people will embody the holiday spirit and show their care for the community. Overall, the 2015 Food Drive was a huge success for the San Diego Branch, which collected 150 boxes of non-perishable foods at the San Diego Chargers Food Drive on November 22, 2015, and packaged more than 2000 pounds of oranges at the San Diego Food Bank on December 21, 2015.
