Chapel Hill Branch Bakes Cookies for Meals on Wheels on Feb 25, 2024

Over the weekend, members of the Chapel Hill Branch dedicated their time to baking nearly 400 cookies for Meals on Wheels, an organization committed to alleviating hunger. This program has long provided essential support for seniors and individuals facing difficulties accessing food, ensuring they receive the necessary nutrients. Our volunteers worked from their kitchens to bake the cookies, and then carefully packaged each one in individual bags for easy distribution to seniors. Beyond merely providing sustenance, our goal is to bring joy to those in need by offering delightful treats. Through these simple acts of love and kindness, we strive to bring happiness to the seniors and inspire others in our community to engage in acts of goodwill.

Volunteers who participated in this event are April Zhang(6 hrs), Karen Lin (6 hrs), Andrew Zhao (6 hrs), Ethan Li_ECHHS (6 hrs), Owen Xie (6 hrs), Kacy Sun (4 hrs), Jack Xu (6 hrs), Andrew Zhong (6 hrs), Eric Sun (6 hrs), Luna Chen  (6 hrs for baking and 2 hrs for packing).
