The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch volunteered at the Planting Fields Arboretum to help take out roots

The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch volunteered at the Planting Fields Arboretum to help clear out English Ivy. Volunteers used multiple different tools like clippers, saws, and scissors to remove their roots to ensure that they don’t grow back. With plans to replant helpful plants on the soil once the ivy is gone, volunteers worked hard to make sure that they removed both the ivy and other such unnecessary species. Volunteers worked from 9:30 to 12:30 to help take out unneeded plants.
Volunteers: Bryan Fan (3.5 hrs) and Jonathan Fan (3 hrs).
