Morrisville Branch Donates Handmade Crafts to Kits to Heart on January 8, 2024

During the recent winter holiday season (December 16th 2023 – January 3rd 2024), over a dozen remarkable members from our community branch embarked on a heartwarming mission: bringing comfort and joy to cancer patients through their own artistic talents. These dedicated youths, armed with creativity and compassion, poured their hearts into crafting beautiful and thoughtful items – knitted hats, crochet gift bags, heart pillows, friendship bracelets, journals and cards – specifically designed to brighten the days of individuals facing the challenges of cancer. This is the second time our branch made a donation to Kits to Heart (KTH) after a big success in the Thanksgiving break last year. KTH is a non-profit organization that has a mission to bring smiles and solidarity to those affected by cancer.

The following is a breakdown of what each team member contributed: Andrew Zhong made 16 journals, Lingfei Tang made 6 heart pillows, Xuanjin Zhu made 6 heart pillows and 12 journals, Shawn Ye made 5 crochet gift bags, Halley Zhong made 9 friendship bracelets, Kenna Zhang made 3 friendship bracelets and 15 origamis, Xinya Pan made 2 hats, Joyce Xu made 4 hats, Lillian Shang made 15 origamis, Sophia Peng made 30 origamis and 5 cards, Audrey Fan made 2 hats, Alison Wu made 15 cards, Taylor Zhong made 13 journals.
