Chapel Hill Branch Bakes Cookies for Meals on Wheels on Nov 18, 2023

During the weekend, members of the Chapel Hill Branch baked dozens of cookies for Meals on Wheels, an organization that strives to spread hunger-relief. Their program has been helping seniors and others who have trouble getting food for several years, making sure they get the necessary nutrients. Our volunteers spent their time making cookies in their own kitchens to contribute this cause. We’re not just providing food, but also some tasty treats to make the day better for those who need it. We hope these simple acts of love and kindness bring happiness to the seniors and encourage others in our community to do good things too.

Volunteers who participated in this event are Vanessa Lin (6 hrs), Eric Sun (6 hrs), Karen Lin (6 hrs), Owen Xie (6 hrs), Andrew Zhao (6 hrs), April Zhang (4 hrs), Ethan Li (East – 4 hrs), Luna Chen (2 hrs), Stella Kim (2 hrs), and Nicholas Wang (1 hr – packaging)
