The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch partnered with Clark Botanic Garden to help clean up the park on November 18, 2023

The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch partnered with Clark Botanic Garden to help clean up the park from the leaves scattered across it. As it is currently Autumn, leaves are a common sight everywhere you walk, so volunteers today worked to help clear out pathways in the park for easier travel. As there was much to remove, volunteers used rakes, buckets, and garbage bags to remove leaves and small sticks from the ground, and wheeled them away in carts to throw in a dumpster. Given the large size of the park and the huge amount of leaves, volunteers were only able to clear some of the more important areas of interest in the time that they were there, but plan to return in the future to continue their work. Volunteers worked from 12:30 to 2:30 to help clear out areas in the park from leaves and other debris, so the passageways would not be as annoying to traverse.

Volunteers: Bryan Fan (2.5 hrs), Jonathan Fan (2 hrs), Jerry Fang (2 hrs), Jeffery Fang (2 hrs), Min Zheng (2 hrs), Qi Zhu (2 hrs), Xian Zhu (2 hrs), Chen Guo Wei (2 hrs), Jason Chen (2 hrs)
