On 10/11/2023, Aylus Great Neck hosted its weekly tutoring session for special needs children.
Andrew Qian, Ruiqi Liu, and Siying Chen each helped a student with their homework and with developing their skills, while Ashley Liao was helping organize the three volunteers. Students received help with learning more vocabulary and with doing math problems for their homework. The volunteers tried their best to help the children focus and learn what they needed to know.
The volunteers also helped strike up conversations with the children to help train their conversational skills as well. They all knew each other better by the end of the session.
The children left after the hour with more experience with interpersonal interaction.
