On September 10th, 2023, AYLUS Chapel Hill branch participated in a youth advocacy program to promote “All of Us,” a NIH research program funded by Congress. The goal of “All of Us” is to gather medical data about people coming from all sorts of backgrounds. To help the effort, Nicholas Wang conducted an online session to educate fellow AYLUS volunteers on precision medicine research’s importance and Asian American participation. 14 people attended the training. Volunteers will be conducting educational sessions in the next two months, and the branch will receive a monetary award at the end.
