On August 19th, 2023, AYLUS Orange members gathered in the Case Memorial Library to color drawings for Color a Smile, a nonprofit that sends cheerful colored drawings all over the United States to senior citizens, troops overseas, and anyone in need of a smile. Drawings had to be neat and fully colored so that they could be mailed to the Color a Smile headquarters. Drawings were pre-outlined and members had to color them in, but some students also chose to draw their own.
Each drawing done is an additional 10 minutes of volunteering and will be counted below. Altogether, 26 drawings were colored by the 12 volunteers.
