Norwood Branch Hosts a Park Cleanup at Central Park on 4/2/2023

Today, on April 2nd, 2023, the Aylus Norwood Branch conducted a park cleanup activity at Central Park. The Norwood branch has been actively involved in various community services, and today was another day to show their dedication and commitment to making a difference.

The volunteers traveled all the way to Manhatten and gathered at the park entrance with gloves, trash bags, and a determination to clean up the area. The weather was perfect for outdoor activity, and everyone was excited to get started. They split into groups and began collecting trash in the designated areas. It was not long before they realized the amount of litter scattered around the park.

In the end, the team collected three bags full of trash, including water bottles, plastic wrappers, and other left-behind items, like dog waste, old socks, etc. They also went the extra mile and collected trash from park visitors, who were impressed by their service and dedication. Many expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the volunteers’ efforts, which was a significant boost to their morale.

The Aylus Norwood Branch’s park cleanup activity was not only a noble gesture, but it also sent a message of the importance of keeping our environment clean. The activity was an opportunity to give back to the community and serve as a reminder to visitors of the park to dispose of their litter properly. The event was a reminder of the crucial role we all play in keeping our environment clean and green.
