Aylus Greater Triangle March 7, 2023 5th Food Bank Sorting and Packing Sweet Potatoes
The food bank at Durham serves 34 counties in the state of North Carolina. Volunteers will do visual checks for each sweet potato to guarantee food security. The sorted resources are packed into family-size servings and distributed right afterwards. Nearly 510,000 people face hunger across the service area, but merely three hours of volunteer work is able to provide over 9,800 meals.
