On Saturday, January 28, 2023, 11 members of AYLUS Pearland branch volunteered at Ed White Elementary School.
The volunteers were assigned to different students from 3rd -5th grade and tutored them in math, helping the students with adding and subtracting as well as teaching them how to convert fractions. With the help from the volunteers, the students practiced with worksheets and exercises to improve their math skills. During the session, the student also played Jenga and checkers with the volunteers.
The volunteers who attended this event were (total of 4 hours): Yifan Wang, Ethan Gao, Alison Xia, Erica Gao, Grace ji, Zoey Dou, Dayou Wu, Nova Mu, Alan Yao, Garbo Wood, Jianchen Hu.
