Chapel Hill Branch Makes Chinese New Year Bookmarks for Local Students on Jan 18, 2023

In the week leading up to Chinese New Year, six members of the AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch worked on making Chinese New Year themed bookmarks to donate to local schools. Members created a variety of unique bookmarks, each distinctly infused with some sort of Chinese culture. Many bookmarks were rabbit themed, in light of this year’s Chinese zodiac being the rabbit. Others had exquisite Chinese style artwork paired with well wishes written in Chinese. Volunteers created beautifully made bookmarks and hope that with them, they can bring Chinese New Year spirit and Chinese culture to local communities.

Volunteers who participated in this event are Nicholas Wang (4 hours), Grace Gao (4 hours), Alice Cheng (2.5 hours), Andy Sun (2 hours), Eric Sun (2 hours), and Luna Chen (2 hours).
