On November 19th, 2022, members Adora Xiao, KaiXi (Cathy) Liu, Hsin Chen (Julie) Lu, Angel He, and Jessica Lu went to Animal Friends of the Valley (an animal shelter) to donate dog/cat food.
Animal Friends of the Valley is dedicated to promoting humane care of animals through education and a humane, proactive animal services program. They are a non-profit organization that commit to prevent the suffering of animals and to end pet overpopulation in the cities we serve.
Members used the money they earned from the last 3 recycling events, which totaled up to $142.25 to buy 4 bags of dog food (40lbs ea), and 1 bag of cat food (25 lbs). Members carried the bags of food inside, dropped them off, and went to go play with the cats and dogs. They had a good time and will be sure to return soon!
