On October 2nd, Columbus Branch are invited to host an origami corner bookmark table in a community event, called the Founders Event, organized by Dublin Food Bank. This is the second craft table the branch hosted in the event.
Members brought the colorful corner bookmarks they prepared ahead of time and distributed to kids and adults at the event or visiting their table. They patiently taught them how to make the bookmarks. As some of the children were young, they also improvised and taught them an easier version. The craft teacher table was packed by children, parents, and grandparents. Mayor of the city of Dublin also visited the table and learned how to make the bookmark while chatting with and praising the volunteers.
