Chapel Hill Branch Volunteers at Good Hope Farm on Sep 17, 2022

On September 17th, five members of the  Chapel Hill-Cary AYLUS branch volunteered at Good Hope Farm to help harvest crops and landscape the farm. The soil was repurposed for the upcoming winter season and mulch trails were laid so the farm was presentable for the upcoming Farm fair for prospective farmers. Good Hope Farm is an incubator farm owned by the Town of Cary that leases land as a stepping stone for young farmers who want to farm but do not yet have the means to buy land. In the midst of a nationwide decline of farmers across the board, we are thankful to have had the chance to help out with this program.

Volunteers that participated in this event: Ethan Li (3 hours), Nicholas Wang (2.5 hours), Aneesh Patkar (2.5 hours), Christopher Wu (2.5 hours), and Sven Li (2.5 hours)
