On Monday, August 8, 2022, AYLUS Twin Cities hosted another food packing event at Feed My Starving Children, an organization that promises meals to hungry children for 1 year at a time and works to help communities sustain themselves and develop. The event lasted from 7-8:45 PM, totaling 1 hour and 45 minutes. The 3 AYLUS volunteers, combined with other volunteers, packed 74 boxes of food, feeding 43 kids for a year. This was our first time going back to packing MannaPack rice instead of MannaPack Mix, the nutrient pack pilot project that Feed My Starving Children was experimenting with.
