AYLUS Syosset Aids in Securing a Health Harvest at the Long Island Native Plants Initiative, #10 (8/6/22)

On 8/6/22, members of AYLUS Syosset participated with the Long Island Native Plant Initiative to help transplant native plants such as yarrow and grass, from trays to smaller containers or to larger containers.

Native plants are important because they preserve biodiversity, stabilize soil, filter water, purify air and support wildlife. Not only that but foreign plants may become invasive and harm the environment.

Members that participate were Alyssa Huang(4 hours), and Margaret Zhang(4.5 hours).
