AYLUS Syosset Aids in Securing a Healthy Harvest at the Long Island Native Plant Initiative, #9 (7/30/22)

On 4/23/22, AYLUS Syosset revisited the Long Island Native Plant Initiative helping to transplant native plants including the cardinal flower, grasses and more.

The Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) is an all-volunteer cooperative effort of over 30 non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, nursery professionals, and citizens. Their mission is to protect the genetic integrity and heritage of Long Island native plant populations by establishing commercial sources of genetically appropriate local) plant materials for use in nurseries, landscaping, and habitat restoration activities.

Members who participate include: Nian Li(4 hours), Alyssa Huang(4 hours), Margaret Zhang(4.5 hours), Michael Wang(4 hours), Angela Wang(4 hours).
