On February 2, 2022, members of AYLUS-Syosset branch performed and received citations from the Town of Oyster Bay at the First-Ever Lunar New Year Celebration of the town.
To ring in the Chinese New Year of the Tiger, Supervisor Joseph Saladino and members of the Town Board organized the Town’s first ever Lunar New Year Celebration at Town Hall in partnership with the South Asian Advisory Board and many Chinese-American Community Groups.

They also have received personalized citations from the Town of Oyster Bay for “educating residents in our community about the importance of Chinese-American culture and for advancing the general welfare of the community”.
