Wordly Wise 3000, abbreviated WW3000, is an English language tutoring program for elementary and middle school students led by highly qualified high school volunteers. Currently at San Diego Branch, enough students have signed up for this course for it offered in five levels: Level 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Through the tutoring sessions hosted virtually through zoom, our volunteers provide the students with direct academic vocabulary instructions that develops the critical link between vocabulary and reading comprehension.

The distinguishing factor of this activity is that in WW3000, everyone is in this for a great cause. As suggested by our volunteers, all the tutoring proceeds will go to support under-privileged kids in local communities, to help them better cope with the ongoing pandemic. Up to this date, we have raised a total of more than $10,000 dollars, with fundraising still in progress. Through this activity, our volunteers strive to create a positive impact on the world with their own abilities; with their hard work and support, we can all see the light from the end of tunnel.
