Chapel Hill Branch Donates Handmade Masks to KITS TO HEART on Dec 15, 2021

Kits to Heart is a nonprofit that gives cancer care kits to patients and their caregivers throughout the United States.  AYLUS Chapel Hill Branch members made and donated one hundred handmade masks to Kits to Heart to show our love and support. The project started on Nov 22, 2021 and completed on Dec 15, 2021. Twelve volunteers from Durham Academy and East Chapel Hill High School participated in this project and showed a great interest, enthusiasm, and support. Together we designed, drew, cut, and sew the cloth masks. During the project we were able to improve our craftsmanship skills, as well as learn that cooperation is very important. We hope that these masks can help put smiles on their faces.
