AYLUS Bergen Branch Walks to End Alzheimer’s (11/7/2021)

In November, the Bergen Branch started its “Save A Life: Walk to End Alzheimer’s” event for a better 2022. It’s a continuous effort of the branch’s members to support our community together with the Alzheimer’s Association.

Currently, over 5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s and that number may grow to 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can change the course of this disease. Walk to End Alzheimer’s event is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Alzheimer’s Association is a nonprofit association that aims to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research.

Members from different branches across the state of New Jersey took part in personal walks (Princeton, Montgomery, West Windsor, Monroe, Plainsboro, Edison, Metuchen, Warren, Long Hill, Newark, and Bergen). Members went to a local park for the walk to show their support for Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The members prepared flyers, and anything else needed for the event.
