AYLUS Bridgewater Participates in America’s Grow-A-Row in August 2021

On Thursday, August fifth, AYLUS Bridgewater participated in America’s Grow-A-Row to help combat food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we only harvested corn for a couple of hours, we made a significant impact on communities throughout New Jersey and the Mid-Atlantic area. In total, we, along with other volunteer groups, harvested 25,000 pounds of corn, which equates to about 100,000 servings. Through the process of working with other volunteers, we also learned the value of unity, and how a few extra hands working can get a lot of good done.

If anyone would like to volunteer for this charity, check out America’s Grow a Row at:

Thank you to all who participated: Alan Jiang, Eva Nilsson, Andrew Wang, Ryan Wang, Alice Jiang, Grace Wang, Gabrielle Chien, Milan Williams (All 2.5 hours).
