On August 4th, 2021 several RCA members joined forces to raise funds for Cancer Kids First, a non-profit that helps pediatric cancer patients with donations such as toys and cards among others. The goal is to help these children get through the hard times and better their experience while going through treatment. RCA member Sophie Chung created the donation page a few days before the walk to raise awareness for the cause and to start the fundraiser. The branch members received a registration link where the members were able to sign themselves up for a certain fee to help with the fundraising efforts. Combined the branch raised $115 with this walkathon. This was the first one Riverside County AYLUS participated in. RCA plans to continue supporting this cause through other walkathons or donations such as cards, toys, or other fundraising events.
