On 7/25/2021, members of the Syosset AYLUS (Leo Cheng, Alan Huang) taught a thirty-minute English class to multiple newly immigrated high school students with varying degrees of proficiency in English.
Because tutors were told to participate in the national AYLUS meeting, tutors were not available until 7:30. For the students who came early, advisor Francina encouraged them to join the AYLUS meeting. The students who came at 7:30 heavily praticed speaking when advisor Francina asked questions and tutors summarized what happened during the national meeting.
The following students volunteered in today’s tutoring program: Leo Cheng (0.5 hours) and Alan Huang (0.5 hours).
