Through more than 2 months preparation, 1st AYLUS National conference is hold on zoom from 9:00AM-4:30PM, The first national AYLUS conference aims to excite and engage youth leaders with innovative skills and new understandings for their future, connecting their own interests with new ones. We will be holding multiple sessions, with the first half of the conference consisting of professionals with diverse backgrounds from varying fields talking about their career and the second half of the conference consisting of high school and undergraduate students speaking on their expertise in certain areas, such as research, networking, volunteering, etc.
there are total 8 sessions full of amazing speakers and panels, who are professionals from Goldman Sachs, Facebook, Intel, and Lyft and many rising undergrads from Harvard, Stanford, MIT, etc. discussing their experiences and sharing their stories.
Katherine Wei (50 hours)
- Created initial proposal
- Found and was in contact with all 6 sponsors (Sticker Giant, Fjallraven, Makey Makey, AoPS, Datacamp, Magoosh)
- Created sponsorship email template
- Created the sponsorship prospectus
- Donated Chromebook as the biggest prize
- Created all the digital designs
- Found and reached out to 16 of the 21 speakers
- In contact and communicated with all 21 speakers
- Wrote and sent out all the questions list for each session
- Created the intro slides
- Created the eventbrite
- Sent out frequent reminders to all the attendees regarding the conference
- In charge of the zoom account
- Hosted 4 sessions (law, personal branding/networking, scientific research, college apps)
- Created feedback form, instagram raffle form, questions for speakers form
- Applied and awarded $300 grant to cover shipping costs
