AYLUS Bridgewater Makes Plastic Mats for Homeless

On July 18th, AYLUS Bridgewater hosted an event, turning used plastic bags into plarn. Plastic mats will help the homeless community in areas surrounding NYC, as it gives them a dry place to sleep. The mats will also help the environment, as many of the plastic bags used would otherwise be thrown in landfills. We hope to finish crocheting the plastic mats at our next meeting.

Participants: Alan Jiang (6 hours), Andrew Wang (4.5 hours), Ivalyn Zhang, Gabrielle Chien, Hannah Diao, Joanna Xu, Ryan Wang, Ayush Singhal, and Grace Wang. (3 hours)
