Greater Temecula Valley AYLUS Lends a Hand to a Local Farm (2nd) in July 2021

On July 6, Greater Temecula Valley AYLUS(GTVA) members Ally Negulescu (2hrs), Adora Xiao (2hrs), Julie Lu (2hrs), Jessica Lu (2hrs), Zaiba Choudhury (2hrs), and Shania Jin(2hrs) volunteered at their local farm and helped to harvest produce.

The GTVA group had so much fun last time that they decided to lend a hand to The Outreach Farm Project yet again. Harvesting cucumbers and squash, members had fun with smiling curved vegetables and size contests. The harvest amounted to over 50 buckets, alongside some minor scratches. (We’d believed that we’d got to know the cucumbers better since the last week, yet they still seemed quite hostile.)

It’s such a good feeling to be able to help provide food for the people who needs it and in the same time to help our local farmers to harvest their produce. This time we were more experienced and  we were able to harvest a bigger quantity with a larger number of members. We cannot wait to go back for more to help our community and the people who need some extra food. Zucchinis and Cucumbers watch out, we will be back to harvest you!
