Irvine Branch Hosts 1st Class to Teach Seniors to Speak English on May 28, 2021

On May 28, 2021, the Irvine branch of AYLUS hosted the first of its new class to help teach seniors in local communities to speak English on May 28, 2021. Brian Song, Clayland Lee, and Asher Ding taught these seniors in a host of various methods to help them effectively retain given information.

Throughout the class, we covered many different materials and topics including teaching greetings, labeling fruits, and describing the weather. We covered a great amount of information, and we had the seniors practice creating sentences as well as talking with one another using the vocabulary that we taught them. We are very grateful to have this opportunity to reach them and help them expand their linguistic borders through the amazing language of English!

Volunteers: Brian Song (1.5 hrs), Clayland Lee (1 hr), Asher Ding (1 hr)
