Columbus Branch Participated and Volunteered at Dublin Giving Garden on May 22, 2021

Dublin Giving Garden is located at Historic Coffman Homestead, just next to the Dublin City hall. The eight-bed garden produces fresh veggies and herbs, which are tended to by City of Dublin volunteers. The produce is donated to the Dublin Food Pantry by the end of each planting season. It’s a win-win-win for a piece of public land being put to great use for those who need some fresh, healthy doses of goodness.
For the upcoming 2021 gardening season, we are excited to get involved from the very beginning, weeding the garden on May 22. There was a lot to weed, on the ground floor and in the beds themselves. All members were hard working on it, digging out all kinds of weeds and placing them in two lawn bags. The garden looked much better afterwards and it made planting the following week much easier.
AYLUS-Columbus members who participated and volunteered in the event included Joseph Lin, Nicole Lin, Brenna Li, Catherine Harman, Rachel Zhu, Patrick Wang, Max Wang, Lili Susanto, June Ni, and Andrea Yu.
