Chapel Hill Branch Creates and Donates Christmas Ornaments in December 2020

During the Holiday Season, it is important to give back to the community and help others lift their holiday spirits. Since this year has been particularly hard for many people, it is now more important than ever to help those in need. Therefore, we decided to make and donate decorations that can be used for the holidays for those who need them the most.

Our goal was to help people in need get decorations to get into the holiday spirit. We made a variety of ornaments consisting of stars, boats, snowflakes, trees, and other unique decorations. All together, the AYLUS club made 150 ornaments. They will all be donated to the salvation army and habitat for humanity organization.

We hope that our decorations put a smile on others’ faces who can’t afford ornaments/decorations for the holidays. We understand how difficult it is to buy things due to the pandemic and we just want to give back to our community.
